2025 Women’s Lacrosse League Championship Picks and Predictions

The New York Charging and Boston Guard face off in the first-ever Women’s Lacrosse League championship. Boston is a slight favorite and the total is 28.5 at DraftKings and FanDuel. Let’s take a look at my best bet for the WLL final.

Maybe the sportsbooks are factoring in potentially tired legs from both teams, but if these women are tired, they sure haven’t been showing it. All three of the Boston Guard’s games have gone over this mark and New York’s last three games have as well. As a whole, five of the seven WLL games have surpassed 28.5 goals.

If we look at the first meeting between these teams, there was a combined 38 goals and they hit 29 in just three quarters. The pacing actually picked up in the second half and if we get another close game like I expect, then it should be a similarly-paced game. While I’m not sure we’ll see nearly 40 goals this time around, these offenses had a ton of success despite hitting a few pipes and both goalies making double-digit saves.

In fact, this was the highest-scoring WLL game, despite New York goaltender Madison Doucette making what was at the time a league-high 17 saves. (She then broke her own record with 21 saves against California on Sunday). While Doucette could have another big game, I don’t see her stopping as many shots against a fresh Guard offense.

Bet the WLL final to go Over 28.5 at -110 on FanDuel or -120 on DraftKings.
