The 2026 Women’s Lacrosse League Championship Series wraps up with a rematch between the California Palms and New York Charging. When these teams played on Thursday, New York won 16-11. Will we see a similar outcome in the final? Let’s dive in…

We cashed Under 32.5 when these teams last faced, but the total of 29.5 feels right to me for this one. I still trust both goaltenders to have strong outings, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the scoring ticks up a little bit from Thursday’s 16-11 finish.
I also wrote about how the Charging were the biggest threat to the Palms and New York ended up getting a five-goal win over California. Yet, I think the Palms are able to win this rematch. New York is playing its third game in four days and its second in around 15 hours. Last year, New York had a similar path to the final, winning their semifinal matchup 18-11, but running out of steam and losing 22-17 in the final.
As for the California side, the two days of rest is big for the Palms, especially considering their playing style. California loves to push in transition and was a big part of why they were able to blow out Boston and Maryland earlier in the series. They did not have as much success in transition against New York, but also didn’t push the tempo as much as they typically do. The Palms also had a trip to the final all but locked up, and their awareness of this seemed to show later in the game. Now, with a title on the line against the team that eliminated them last year, I expect we get their best from start to finish.
California goaltender didn’t have her best game against New York, but still stopped 46.2% of the shots she faced and the 16-11 result is a bit inflated considering she allowed a pair of two-pointers. Yet, she’s still able to make game-stealing saves and generate transition offense going the other way better than anyone in the series.
Earlier in the week, I gave out California Palms to win the 2026 WLL Championship Series. While we lost a little bit of value by not waiting, now that the Palms are -140 on the moneyline, I still trust them to get the win on Sunday. If you already placed a future on the California Palms, I’d just sit tight and hope for an outright win by California. If you didn’t, then I recommend betting the Palms on the spread at -115 (if you’re feeling bold) or California Palms ML at -140 on DraftKings.
Pick: California Palms ML
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
