National Lacrosse League Betting Picks: 2025 NLL Week 7 Friday Best Bets

We have our biggest National Lacrosse League slate of the season, with five games on Friday and three on Saturday this weekend. I have best bets for three of the Friday games, so let’s take a look at my picks to start NLL Week 7.

Note: The odds presented below are those at the time when Hutton sends his picks out on the Action App and are subject to change.

Rochester Knighthawks at Philadelphia Wings

Rochester Moneyline/Spread-155 / -1.5
Philadelphia Moneyline/Spread+130 / +1.5

The Rochester Knighthawks travel to Philadelphia to face the Wings for the second time this season. When they last played, Rochester won 15-11. I expect the Knighthawks to edge out the Wings again, but would rather bet the total of 25.5 this time around.

Both defenses were largely undisciplined, and we saw six goals scored on the power play and several goals on broken plays in transition. Having faced each other already this season, I expect both teams to make adjustments defensively.

There’s no doubt that Rochester has one of the most prolific offenses this season, but I think they’re the only reason for this total being the highest of the season. The Wings managed to score 11 in the first meeting, but three came on the power play, and another came with Rochester backup Riley Hutchraft in net at the end of the game. I don’t trust the Wings offense to do enough to reach 26 goals again this time around.

Furthermore, there have been 22 games with a total of 25.5 or higher since 2021, and those games have stayed under in 20 of those games according to the NLL betting report. This total is an overreaction to the first meeting, so I recommend betting Under 25.5 at -120 on BetMGM or Caesars.

Pick: Under 25.5

VANCOUVER WARRIORS AT Calgary Roughnecks

Vancouver Moneyline/Spread-135 / -1.5
Calgary Moneyline/Spread+105 / +1.5

The Calgary Roughnecks secured their first win of the season last week, but I think that game told us more about San Diego’s defensive shortcomings than Calgary’s offensive prowess. The Seals’ defense gave up five power play goals, and a few even-strength goals were scored on second chances. I don’t think Calgary is a bad team, but they won’t get as many breaks against a balanced Vancouver Warriors team.

After entering the season with the most hype, the Warriors have stayed relaitively undervalued in the betting market. Maybe it has to do with their opening loss to Colorado or their early schedule filled with byes, but they should be bigger favorites against the Roughnecks. Their defense has played just as strongly as last season and faces a Calgary team that lacks star power. Tyler Pace and Tanner Cook have kept the Roughnecks competitive, but this is a game I expect to get away from them in the fourth quarter.

Vancouver’s offense has not been as sharp as it can be, but their two single-digit performances came against an NLL Finals MVP and former Goaltender of the Year. When they faced a Las Vegas defense of similar caliber to Calgary, they scored 15. I expect a similar result to that game and recommend betting the Vancouver Warriors -1.5 at +115 on Caesars.

Pick: Vancouver Warriors -1.5

TORONTO ROCK AT SAN DIEGO SEALS

Toronto Moneyline/Spread-125 / -1.5
San Diego Moneyline/Spread+100 / +1.5

The final game of the evening features the Toronto Rock travelling to face the San Diego Seals. Both teams sit at 1-2 and haven’t looked convincing in their lone wins.

Last week in particular was a poor defensive performance by San Diego, losing to a then-winless Roughnecks team, 11-15. Chris Origlieri played poorly and Cam Dunkerly didn’t do much better in relief. Origlieri is listed as questionable for this game, but I don’t know if it will make a difference who is in net. Toronto’s record is disappointing, but this offense has a lot of new pieces, and you can see that they are all getting more comfortable with each other each game. They also can score from range and both Origlieri and Dunkerly have let in plenty of outside shots this season.

Toronto’s 11-17 loss to Las Vegas wasn’t as lopsided as the final score indicated. The Desert Dogs scored an empty net goal and another three on the power play. I also thought Mark Matthews had a really poor outing, forcing bad shot attempts and leaving his defense vulnerable in transition. I reckon we’ll see him bounce back and take what the defense gives him more this game. Couple that with backup Troy Holowchuk struggling in his first start of the season and Nick Rose coming in cold, and it’s less surprising that a talented Las Vegas squad dropped 17 on a normally solid defense.

I expect Toronto’s defense to play much better against a San Diego offense that has relied too much on individual playmaking and will likely be without Ben McIntosh for a second straight game. Toronto should not only win but be able to cover as well, so I recommend betting Toronto Rock -1.5 at +120 on TheScore Bet.

Pick: Toronto Rock -1.5
