National Lacrosse League Betting Picks and Predictions: NLL Week 7 Friday Best Bets

Every National Lacrosse League team is in action this week, with three games on Friday and four on Saturday. We went 4-0 last weekend to improve to 17-9 for +7.95 units and an ROI of +29.64%, so let’s keep the momentum going. I’ll have bets for games on both days, but let’s start off with my three best bets for Friday’s slate.

Toronto Rock at Buffalo Bandits

Buffalo Moneyline/Spread-295 / -2.5

The NLL’s biggest rivals meet for the first time since Buffalo last swept Toronto in the playoffs (again). The Rock has lost seven straight, including 10 of the last 11 games to the Bandits. The odds are stacked against them once again as the winless Rock heads to Buffalo to face the undefeated defending champions as 2.5-point underdogs.

I think Toronto is capable of turning their season around still, but I don’t expect their first win to come this week. Not only has Buffalo had their number when it’s mattered most, but Toronto is a shell of what they were last season. It may feel odd to back a 2.5-point favorite in a rivalry game, but I’m going to do just that by betting Bandits -2.5 at -115. This opened at +110 odds on FanDuel before moving to -105 and now is -115 almost every where, but I still like it at this price.

It’s going to take a team’s best effort to beat Buffalo and I just don’t think Toronto can do that without Tom Schreiber and Mark Matthews on offense. Buffalo has been able to play aggressive on defense and with both primary ball carriers missing, I expect the Rock to struggle to score. Challen Roger’s return is welcomed, but the Rock are still too outmatched against the Buffalo offense and no TD Ierlan will make it hard to stop the Bandits’ scoring runs. Expect Buffalo to outlast Toronto and win by a handful of goals on Friday night.

Pick: Buffalo Bandits -2.5

Ottawa Black Bears at Georgia Swarm

Ottawa Moneyline/Spread+145 / +1.5
Georgia Moneyline/Spread-180 / -1.5
Total21.5

The Black Bears and Swarm meet both fresh off losses. Georgia is a 1.5-point favorite but has struggled to cover this season, despite boasting a 4-1 record. I think Ottawa will give Georgia a good game, so I’m going to avoid betting a side. The total ranges from 21.5 to 22.5 depending on the sportsbook and that’s what I’m targeting on Friday night

I think the total is a tad low between an opportunistic Ottawa offense and Georgia team that is prone to both scoring and giving up transition goals. The Black Bears defense is also aggressive, which could backfire against a Swarm offense that moves the ball and generates high-quality chances om the doorstep extremely well. Callum Jones joins the injured Justin Robinson as Ottawa defenders who will miss this game Jeff Henrick and Adam Wiedemann will also both be out for Georgia again this week.

Ultimately, I think these two offenses have a chance to both easily reach double-digits and expect a high-scoring affair in Georgia. Bet this game to go over 21.5 at -110 on Caesars.

Pick: Over 21.5

San Diego Seals at Vancouver Warriors

San Diego Moneyline/Spread-160 / -1.5
Vancouver Moneyline/Spread+120 / +1.5
Total22.5

Odds via bet365

San Diego and Vancouver meet with both teams hoping to stay above .500. I think we’ll get a tight game between these two teams so I have my sights on another total.

My first bet of the week was under 23.5 on FanDuel, which I sent out to DubClub subscribers on Tuesday night. That total didn’t last long though as FanDuel moved the total in line with the rest of the market at 21.5 rather quickly. If you weren’t able to bet it at 23.5, I still recommend betting it at 22.5 at -130 on bet365.

Both defenses are coming off solid performances against good offenses. Vancouver’s defense is the second-best in average goals allowed at 9.3 per game and, along with Buffalo, is the only team averaging less than 10 per game. While San Diego’s defense has been less consistent, they had a historic performance last week, holding Jeff Teat and Co. to just five goals. While both teams have some offensive firepower, San Diego and Vancouver have mostly underwhelmed on offense so far this season, averaging 11.6 and 10.3 goals per game respectively.

I expect this meeting to be a slugfest and goals to be hard to come by on Friday night. Bet this game to stay under 22.5.

Pick: Under 22.5
