The Carolina Chaos and California Redwoods meet in the 2026 PLL Championship Final after going to overtime earlier in the series. I’m still riding with my pre-tournament pick and expecting a Chaos win, but think this game will be close throughout and worry that Carolina’s fatigue could set in late in this game. Austin Kaut also had a PLL Championship Series-record 25 saves in the first meeting—and California still won. Kaut has been consistently excellent, but I’m not expecting a repeat of his record-setting performance. So instead, I’m going to target the first-quarter total and a couple of props.
Despite having played less than 24 hours ago, I think Carolina will come out strong and expect both Chaos and Redwoods to have a productive first quarter. If one of the teams builds a lead, we could see this game slow down, making me wary of betting the full game total. Yet, I think both teams will do enough to get this game to 11+ goals in the opening period. They combined for 12 scores in their first meeting, and I think we’ll see a similar result. Bet 1st Quarter Over 10.5 at -120 on FanDuel.
I’m also looking at the two-point goal scorer market. I have requested that a few players be added to the market on FanDuel, but as of right now that request hasn’t been fulfilled. Keep an eye on my X (Twitter) feed and Action App for a potential late add or two. I will also update this article if I end up placing more bets. In the meantime, I’m betting a 0.2 unit on Dylan Molloy to Score a Two-Point Goal at +195 on FanDuel.
Molloy only has a pair of two-pointers so far this tournament, but has made nine on 26 shots (34.6%) through 12 total championship series games. Furthermore, Austin Kaut has allowed seven two-pointers during the series, and I expect California to utilize the two-point arc a lot to break this Carolina defense. Kaut has been great in net, but I expect the Redwoods will prioritize spreading the defense out and attempt a high number of two-pointers. Bet a small amount on Molloy to be one of the players to score one.
Pick: 1Q Over 10.5, Dylan Molloy to Score a Two-Point Goal (0.2 unit)
2026 PLL Championship Series Best Bets: 7-5 for +2.685 units (ROI +27.4%)
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
