We started Week 2 in the Premier Lacrosse League going 4-4 for +0.75 unit. Saturday features two more games and I have five picks across both. Let’s take a lok at my favorite total and player props to close out PLL Week 2.

I spoke a little about Sam King on Friday and why he has Rookie of the Year potential in this offense. While he’s facing a solid Cannons defense, he has the potential to make a big impact. Last week he had three assists on four assist opportunities, which led Utah in Week 1. With Grant Ament out with a hamstring injury this week, King should slot in nicely in Ament’s role at the midfield and there’s a chance he could even get some time at attack as well. While not the exact same players, Ament had four points against Boston last season and I think King can replicate that type of production. I like the odds for his points prop and encourage betting Sam King Over 2.5 Points at +145 on DraftKings.
I also think this game could stay under the total of 23.5 given how strong both defenses looked in Week 1 (and last season), but I’m not ready to fade these offenses just yet. Instead, I recommend betting Colin Kirst Over 12.5 Saves at -128 on FanDuel or -130 on BetMGM/DraftKings. Kirst has gone over this mark in 14 of 23 starts since 2023 and Boston did a good job forcing shots that he can easily save in Week 1. Utah should have a slight advantage at the faceoff stripe, but their 32-second offense didn’t look particularly crisp and we could see them settle for low-quality shots when the shot clock is winding down. Trust Kirst to save those shots.
Picks: Sam King Over 2.5 Points, Colin Kirst Over 12.5 Saves
California Redwoods at Carolina Chaos

The Chaos host the Redwoods in Carolina’s second game of the weekend. On Friday, I gave out Over 21.5 and you can still bet it on BetMGM. I still like it at Over 22.5 as well though if that’s the only total available for you.
Blaze Riorden had to make a PLL record 25 saves—which we loved seeing after betting his saves prop—just to keep their first game total to 21 goals. There’s also a notable trend developing for totals of the second game of a home team’s doubleheader. In the nine homecoming doubleheaders we’ve seen dating back to last season, eight of them have finished with 24 or more total goals and the average total was 26.11.
Even if you aren’t buying this trend, I expect Carolina to have more offensive success against this California defense that still gave up 12 last weekend. I also think the Redwoods should be able to replicate a similar offensive output against a potentially tired Carolina defense.
I also like two player props in this game.
The story of California’s Week 1 win was their offense and that overshadowed a pedestrian effort from their defense. Chayse Ierlan made a handful of key saves, but only stopped 47.6% of the shots he faced. The Redwoods defense also allowed 7 goals to Denver’s attack. I think Chaos attackman Jackson Eicher will get plenty of chances to score against this defense. He had five shots on goal for three goals in his debut and three shots on goal on Friday despite just scoring once. I expect him to have more success Saturday. Bet Jackson Eicher Over 1.5 Goals at -102 on FanDuel.
I’m also betting a 0.5 unit on Dylan Molloy first quarter goal scorer at +168 on FanDuel. Molloy is set to start on attack once again and had three goals in his California debut. Chaos have a really strong and physical defense, but Molloy is one of the players who can match their physicality and generate quality scoring chances with his body positioning. I like the odds for this starting attackman to find the back of the net in the first period.
Picks: Over 21.5, Jackson Eicher Over 1.5 Goals, Dylan Molloy 1Q Goal Scorer (0.5 unit)
2025 PLL Season Best Bets: 10-11 for +1.585 units
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
