The last week of the Premier Lacrosse League season before the all-star break is almost here and I have best bets for each of the games in San Diego. Let’s take a look at what I’m betting on Friday in PLL Week 5.

The California Redwoods host the Denver Outlaws in a rematch from Week 1. California outlasted Denver in the first game, but I expect the Outlaws to pull off a win in this one. There are a few key personnel changes to note in this matchup. Denver goalie Logan McNaney will get his third straight start and midfielder Jared Bernhardt continues to get better each week. On the flipside, the Redwoods lost their best short-stick defender in Chris Merle to a season-ending injury last game. I think McNaney can cause some problems for this Redwoods offense and Bernhardt has seemingly unlocked this Denver offense thanks to his ability to score from all over the field. Bet Denver Outlaws moneyline at +100 on Caesars.
Speaking of McNaney, I think he’ll make at least 14 saves for the third straight week. California takes the second-highest amount of shots in the PLL and I trust Denver’s defense to force low-quality shots that McNaney can save. Bet Logan McNaney Over 13.5 Saves at -128 on FanDuel.
I’m also betting Jared Bernhardt Over 2.5 Points at -135 on bet365. The younger Bernhardt had a five-point performance last week and Denver creatively used him in a variety of ways. He can score dodging behind, out of the box and plays in the middle on the power play. I also don’t even think we’ve seen his full potential as a passer yet either. With California down their top SSDM, this a great spot to back Bernhardt.
Picks: Denver Outlaws ML, Logan McNaney Over 13.5 Saves, Jared Bernhardt Over 2.5 Points

Both Utah and New York have struggled on one side of the ball, with the Archers’ offense underperforming through four weeks and Atlas’ defense allowing the third-most scores against despite holding Philly to just nine goals last week. Liam Entenmann has been carrying this New York defense, but the defenders in front of him played much better in Week 4 and Danny Logan’s return to the lineup was a big boost. Meanwhile, Utah still hasn’t displayed any consistency on offense and will be without starting attackman Matt Moore. Utah’s defense has been the best this season, averaging just 10 scores against and I trust them to limit this Atlas offense. I like both Entenmann and Brett Dobson to have big games, but with their save props lined appropriately, I recommend betting Under 24.5 at -110 on BetMGM.
I also think Utah will limit Connor Shellenberger on Friday night. While Shellenberger looks healthier than he did last season, I’m expecting Utah to limit him again this time around. Bet Connor Shellenberger Under 3.5 Points at -138 on FanDuel or -140 on bet365.
While I expect this game to be low-scoring, I do think Sam King will have success with Moore out of the lineup and Grant Ament still not looking 100%. While King is still listed as a midfielder, I’d be surprised if he doesn’t play in Moore’s spot on attack for a good portion of this game. Bet Sam King Over 2.5 Points at +102 and a 0.3 unit on Sam King 1st Quarter Goal Scorer at +250 on FanDuel.
Picks: Under 24.5, Connor Shellenberger Under 3.5 Points, Sam King Over 2.5 Points, Sam King 1Q Goal Scorer (0.3 unit)
2025 PLL Season Best Bets: 37-34 for +5.07 units
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
