Carolina and Philadelphia square off with the Chaos seeking their first win against the Waterdogs in franchise history. Unfortunately for them, I don’t think it will come this weekend. Philly is coming off a loss to Maryland, but I thought they actually generated a lot of quality shots on goal that Emmet Carroll robbed. The Kenny Brower in-game injury hurt them, but they should be better prepared and they’ve appeared to settle on Matt DeLuca as their starting goalie.

Carolina’s worst game was against the Whipsnakes, when Maryland picked them a part in front of the net and Philly has the ability to have similar success on offense. There’s always a chance Blaze Riorden bails the Carolina defense out, but I still give the edge to Philly. Ultimately, I expect the Waterdogs to pull away and like their odds in a bounceback spot. Bet Philadelphia Waterdogs -1.5 at +100 on BetMGM or Caesars.

I’m also expecting a big game from Kieran McArdle. Carolina typically does a solid job of defending Sowers, but they’ll have their hands full guarding the MVP favorite, rookies CJ Kirst and Jake Taylor and a future hall of famer in McArdle. The veteran lefty has had three or more points in four of his last seven games and had two goals and three assists against Carolina last season. Bet Kieran McArdle Over 2.5 Points at -113 and Over 1.5 Goals at -130 on FanDuel.

I’m also betting Jackson Eicher to stay under his points total of 2.5. Eicher takes a lot of shots, but has struggled to find the back of the net lately and I’d be surprised if we don’t see Cross Ferrara or Ross Scott on the right wing a lot as well. Carolina operates in righty and lefty pairs from the wings based on which side of the field they’re on to help get into their offensive sets earlier and that often leads to a variety of offensive sets. Eicher hasn’t had three or more points since his rookie debut, being held to three or less in six straight games. Ultimately, I don’t love the situation or matchup for the rookie and think there’s value in betting Jackson Eicher Under 2.5 Points at -145 on bet365

Picks: Philadelphia Waterdogs -1.5, Kieran McArdle Over 2.5 Points, Kieran McArdle Over 1.5 Goals, Jackson Eicher Under 2.5 Points

Denver Outlaws at Utah Archers

The Utah Archers enter their second game of the weekend with their backs against the wall, desperately needing a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Unfortunately for them, they’ll be without both Tom Schrieber and Grant Ament for their Saturday night game. FanDuel has already moved the line to 2.5 in response, but some other sportsbooks have yet to move in reaction to the news. I leaned towards Denver even before the injury news, but this makes me like a bet on the Outlaws even more. Denver has enough offensive weapons to break the Utah defense and I expect the struggling Archers offense to have an even tougher time without Schreiber and Ament. Bet two units on Denver Outlaws -1.5 at -105 on bet365 or BetMGM.

I also expect midfielder Jared Bernhardt to thrive against Utah again. He had a career-high five points in their earlier meeting, spending some time on attack during the game. Utah struggled to guard the shifty Outlaw and I like the odds on bet365 to bet him to surpass his points prop. Bet Jared Bernhardt Over 2.5 Points at -115 on bet365.

Picks: Denver Outlaws -1.5, Jared Bernhardt Over 2.5 Points

2025 PLL Season Best Bets: 67-62 for +13.195 units
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
