Welcome to the Full Field Ride, a compilation of our contributors’ best bets for this week! Each week, we’ll give out picks from three or more different games that you can bet on their own and/or include in a parlay.
While we missed our NLL Week 4 parlay by one leg, we still managed to turn a profit for the fourth straight week. Our individual picks are 10-2 and we’ve hit two of four parlays for a profit of +10.295 units and an ROI of +71.25% this season. Let’s take a look at what we’re betting in NLL Week 5.
Albany FireWolves at Halifax Thunderbirds

Matt Brignati
This week, I love the Albany Firewolves, who head to Halifax to face the 0-3 Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds defense has been shaky this year, giving up 18 to Calgary and 19 to Colorado so I think the Firewolves should have no trouble scoring on them. The Firewolves are loaded with talent and are much better than their record shows (with both of their losses coming in OT). Bet Firewolves -1.5 against the Thunderbirds on Saturday.
Pick: Albany FireWolves -1.5
Rochester Knighthawks at Buffalo Bandits

Hutton jackson
I expect this game to be more high-scoring than their earlier 15-7 matchup. Every other game between these teams since 2023 has gone over this mark (29, 28, 28, 23, 27), with the average total sitting at 27 goals, and their Week 2 meeting fell just a half goal short of going over. We also saw a handful of shots from both teams hit the pipe the last time.
Expect the Bandits to still score double-digit goals against a Rochester defense still trying to find its footing, even with forward Chris Cloutier listed as doubtful. Furthermore, Buffalo defenders Matt Spanger and Cam Wyers are also listed as questionable, which could help Rochester forward Connor Fields break out of his slump. Buffalo was successful on defense by aggressively pressing out on Rochester, but the Knigthhawks’ ball movement has improved and has been pushing in transition more during the past two games than they did against Buffalo. Bet this game to go Over 22.5.
Pick: Over 22.5
Vancouver Warriors at Calgary Roughnecks

Brian Andrews
The Calgary Roughnecks have to regress at some point. Their wins come from an incredible collapse by the Thunderbirds, overcoming an 11-4 deficit to win 18-17, and a record-breaking eight-goal fourth quarter/OT performance by Dane Dobbie. The Roughnecks have great offensive potential, but they have been winning almost purely through second-half hero ball between Dobbie, Jesse King and Curtis Dickson. This is the week I’m expecting some regression. I still think the Roughnecks defense is a long-term problem that the Warriors can take advantage of. It’ll all come down to the Warriors’ defense and goalkeeping, but I think they can take the first game from the Roughnecks this season. Bet Vancouver on the moneyline.
