National Lacrosse League Betting Picks: 2025 NLL Week 12 Saturday Best Bets

Week 12 in the National Lacrosse League continues with six games on Saturday and I have plenty of best bets for the day. We already cashed in on Chris Cloutier’s goals prop on Friday night, so let’s look at some more goals props and a couple of sides I like for Saturday’s slate.

Note: The odds presented below are those at the time when Hutton sends his picks out on the Action App and are subject to change.

Buffalo Bandits at Halifax Thunderbirds

Buffalo Moneyline/Spread-130 / -1.5
Halifax Moneyline/Spread+100 / +1.5

The Buffalo Bandits face the Halifax Thunderbirds for the second time this season and both teams are looking to snap multi-game losing streaks. Wehn these teams last faced, the Thunderbirds edged the Bandits in overtime. I expect another close game, but would rather bet two player props than bet a side or the total.

We’ll start with Buffalo’s Dhane Smith, who has had a multi-goal performance in all but one of his seven games this season, including a hat trick against Halifax earlier this season. He’s also had two or more in 25 of his last 32 games. Bet Dhane Smith Over 1.5 Goals at -110 on bet365.

I also like Halifax’s Clarke Petterson to show up on Saturday. We already cashed in on a Petterson goals prop earlier this season and he has had two or more goals in 17 of his last 29 games, including a hat trick against Buffalo earlier in the season. I expect the Thunderbirds righty to have another solid game as a goal scorer and recommend betting Clarke Petterson Over 1.5 Goals at +150 on bet365.

Picks: Dhane Smith Over 1.5 Goals, Clarke Petterson Over 1.5 Goals

Ottawa Black Bears at Rochester Knighthawks

Ottawa Moneyline/Spread+125 / +1.5
Rochester Moneyline/Spread-159 / -1.5

The Black Bears travel to Rochester to take on the Knighthawks and we got word that Rochester goaltender Rylan Hartley will serve his one-game suspension this weekend. This tilts the game slightly in Ottawa’s favor in my opinion and I like their odds to go on the road and upset the Knighthawks.

Rochester’s offense has been one of the best this season, but they’ve struggled defensively with both Hartley and backup Riley Hutchcraft in net. This year, the Black Bears have play to their competition, whether that’s down or up. I think they’ll be able to have success against this struggling Rochester defensive unit and be able to score enough to outlast the Knighthawks. Bet the Ottawa Black Bears moneyline at +125 on BetRivers.

Despite liking Ottawa to win, I do think Rochester’s Ryan Smith has success as a goal scorer. Smith is -200 on bet365 to go over his goals prop of 1.5, but these odds still aren’t short enough. Smith has had a pair of goals or more in 23 of his last 27 games with the Knighthawks, including all but one game this season. Don’t fear the juice and bet Ryan Smith Over 1.5 Goals on bet365.

Picks: Ottawa Black Bears ML, Ryan Smith Over 1.5 Goals

Vancouver Warriors at Saskatchewan Rush

Vancouver Moneyline/Spread+125 / +1.5
Saskatchewan Moneyline/Spread-159 / -1.5

The marquee matchup of the weekend is the Vancouver Warriors vs. Saskatchewan Rush. The Rush are currently in first place, but Vancouver can pull within half a game with a victory on Saturday night. The Rush have won seven straight, but have yet to play a team as balanced as the Warriors are. I would have priced this game closer to a pick ’em and think Vancouver has upset potential.

Teams have been able to make the Rush pay in transition and unsettled situations and the Warriors are excellent at turning defensive stops into scoring chances on offense. Frank Scigliano has done well to limit goals in transition, but there’s a good chance that Vancouver gets the better of him on Saturday night. Trust the road underdogs and bet the Vancouver Warriors moneyline at +125 on BetRivers.

I also expect Curtis Dickson to play a big role in a potential Warriors win. The veteran righty has had two goals or more in seven of eight games this season with Vancouver and in 33 of his last 43 games. I expect him to get plenty of scoring chances and like his odds to record another multi-goal game. Bet Curtis Dickson Over 1.5 Goals at -135 on bet365.

Picks: Vancouver Warriors ML, Curtis Dickson Over 1.5 Goals

Philadelphia Wings at Calgary Roughnecks

Philadelphia Moneyline/Spread-110 / +1.5
Calgary Moneyline/Spread-110 / -1.5

The 2-6 Philadelphia Wings face the 1-7 Calgary Roughnecks and a loss could all but end either team’s playoff hopes even with just under a half a season left. I think this game will be close and don’t have strong feeling on the spread or total.

I do like another goals prop, but this time we’re betting an under. Many of bet365’s goals props are set at 1.5 despite players having a strong track record of going over that line, yet they have Philadelphia Wings forward Michael Sowers’s goals prop set at 2.5. That’s not to say that the righty forward can’t record a hat trick in Calgary, but the small sample size we have leads me to believe it’s unlikely. Sowers has played just 10 total NLL games and has three or more goals in just two of them. He had four goals in last week’s win over Buffalo, but this line is an overreaction to that performance.

Calgary’s defense has been solid and is should be able to limit Sowers’ scoring chances on Saturday, Even at odds of -200 on bet365, I highly recommend betting Michael Sowers Under 2.5 Goals.

Pick: Michael Sowers Under 2.5 Goals

2025-26 NLL Season Best Bets: 29-24 for +7.74 units (ROI +15.01%)
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
