National Lacrosse League Betting Picks: 2025-26 NLL Week 6 Best Bets

We get another five-game slate in the National Lacrosse League, but I have picks for two of those games. Last week, we swept the board, going 4-0 for +3.425 units. Let’s take a look at my best bets for NLL Week 6.

Note: The odds presented below are those at the time when Hutton sends his picks out on the Action App and are subject to change.

The Buffalo Bandits vs. Las Vegas Desert Dogs’ only two meetings have had some juice given former Bandits star and current Desert Dogs head coach Shawn Williams’ ties to the franchise. Yet, this year’s matchup is even bigger given that two key members of Buffalo’s three-peat in Chase Fraser and Chris Cloutier now play for Las Vegas.

This game is being priced with Buffalo’s last two multi-goal wins in mind. Yet, the Desert Dogs have already shown they’re much more competitive after strengthening both sides of the ball in the offseason and Landon Kells has managed to string together two really strong outings. Buffalo remains an NLL juggernaut, but they’ve shown some vulnerabilities in all three of their games. I expect Las Vegas to be able to hang around for four quarters, and this offense to give them a fighting chance at an upset. I’d probably have stayed away if the odds were closer, but once again, Las Vegas is way too undervalued at as high as a +200 on the moneyline and the rare +2.5 on the spread. It’s worth noting that Buffalo was 4-7 against the spread as a 2.5-point favorite last season and lost outright in four of those seven.

You can play Las Vegas in three different ways, so we’re going to bet each in an “escalator” play. I recommend betting to win a half unit on Las Vegas Desert Dogs +2.5 at -134 on BetRivers, a half unit on Las Vegas Desert Dogs +1.5 at +145 on DraftKings, and a quarter unit on Las Vegas Desert Dogs moneyline at +200 on BetRivers or +195 on BetMGM.

Picks: Las Vegas Desert Dogs +2.5 (0.67 unit), Las Vegas Desert Dogs +1.5 (0.5 unit), Las Vegas Desert Dogs ML (0.25 unit)

Calgary Roughnecks at San Diego Seals

Calgary Moneyline/Spread+125 / +1.5
San Diego Moneyline/Spread-155 / -1.5

The San Diego Seals host the Calgary Roughnecks in the final game of the weekend and I’m expecting a strong defensive battle.

The Calgary defense hasn’t played as poorly as the final scores of their three losses have indicated. They’ve had stretches where they’ve allowed a flurry of goals in transition and unsettled situations, but head coach Josh Sanderson’s fiery post-game conference following the Buffalo loss made it apparent that fixing those miscues would be a focus going forward. While San Diego has plenty of offensive firepower, I don’t think they’ll take advantage of potential Calgary defensive breakdowns in transition. Expect Aden Walsh to play well enough to keep the Seals’ scoring output to a modest amount.

On the flipside, the Roughnecks’ offense has been inconsistent. Give Calgary credit for finding ways to score with limited star power, but I think this new-look San Diego defense finally puts together a strong out in front of Chris Origlieri. Origlieri held a far more talented Calgary offense to 12 goals last year, and I think he could keep this year’s squad to single digits this time around.

Ultimately, I think both offenses need a little more time to gel and expect a the defenses to be the story when the dust settles. This total is 22.5 at most sportsbooks, but Caesars has posted a 23. I recommend betting Under 23 at -115 on Caesars, but still like Under 22.5 at +100 on DraftKings or other sportsbooks if that’s all you have available.

Pick: Under 23
