While it’s a lighter slate of games, Week 4 in the National Lacrosse League is still ripe with a couple of betting opportunities. We’re coming off our third straight profitable week, going 3-3 for +0.5 unit and bringing our season total to +5.375 units and an ROI of +35.36%. Let’s have an even better Week 4 and dive into my best bets for Saturday.

Saskatchewan Rush at Rochester Knighthawks

The Rush, fresh off their second-straight overtime win, travel to Rochester to face the 1-2 Knighthawks. Rochester finally put together a strong defensive game last weekend, but the offense couldn’t put up more than seven goals for the second straight week. I think Rochester could struggle again against a balanced Saskatchewan squad.
While neither of their two victories has been pretty, the Rush have found ways to win thanks to strong goaltending from Frank Scigliano and a handful of contributors on offense. Now, Robert Church is listed as doubtful to play, but Saskatchewan is deep enough to weather the loss of their leading scorer last year.
Rochester will start either Riley Hutchcraft or Kevin Orleman on Saturday. While Hutchcraft showed improvement in Week 3, neither him nor Orleman are a one-for-one replacement for true starter Rylan Harley, who will remain on the IR this week. Rochester will also be without defenders Dan Coates and Mitch Ogilvie. While they’re deeper on defense this year, they’ll have their hands full trying to keep Zach Manns and Co. in check.
Expect Saskatchewan to outlast the Knighthawks and win by multiple goals. Bet Rush -1.5 at +120 on BetRivers.
Pick: Saskatchewan Rush -1.5
Georgia Swarm at San Diego Seals

The Swarm travel to San Diego to take on the Seals in a rematch from Week 2. When these teams last faced each other, Georgia escaped with a 13-12 win thanks to some overtime heroics from Andrew Kew.
I definitely think Georgia could pull off another win against San Diego, but my model makes the Swarm’s moneyline odds +125, so I don’t see any value in betting them at their current odds. Instead, I’d rather target the total of 23.5.
While these two teams combined for 25 goals in their first meeting, I expect both defenses to settle in on Saturday. Both teams went back and forth scoring transition goals for a 9-8 first half in their Week 2 matchup, but then only combined for seven goals in the third and fourth quarters. I expect a game that plays out more like the second half did and think some familiarity will benefit the defenses in this one.
Expect a lower-scoring slugfest and bet under 23.5 at -115 on BetMGM or Caesars.
Pick: Under 23.5
