The 2026 National Lacrosse League Finals continue on Sunday with the Halifax Thunderbirds hosting the Toronto Rock. Toronto enters Game 2 with a chance to close out the series and win its first NLL championship in 15 years. Let’s take a look at my best bets for the matchup.

Note: The odds presented below are those at the time when Hutton sends his picks out on the Action App and are subject to change.

We’re now just one win away from cashing out Toronto Rock to win the NLL Finals at +800 bet. The line for this game is even tighter than Game 1, but I once again agree with the oddsmakers. Toronto covered in its 13-11 win, but the game came down to the wire and the Rock needed an open-net goal to cover the spread. I think Toronto closes it out and wins its seventh NLL title on Sunday, but I expect this game to be close throughout. I also think we could see a tad less scoring than in Game 1, but it should hover around 21.5, so the total is again sharp.

So, no bet on the side or total for me again, but I do like our goal prop options for this game. For the first time this season, bet365 is offering multiple goal props for a handful of players, allowing us to bet an “escalator” for certain players.

Toronto’s CJ Kirst exploded for four goals and a pair of assists in Game 1 and Halifax had no answer for the 2026 NLL Rookie of the Year. I’m not necessarily banking on a repeat of that performance, but I do like the odds to bet him to have a similar stat line in Game 2. I think Kirst’s floor in this game is at least two goals, and he’s had multiple goals in 12 of 23 games. He’s also had a hat trick or better in eight of those games. So, I recommend betting a full unit on CJ Kirst Over 1.5 Goals (+100), 0.3 unit on CJ Kirst Over 2.5 Goals (+350) and 0.1 unit on CJ Kirst Over 3.5 Goals (+1000) on bet365.

I’m also going back to the well and betting Owen Hiltz Over 1.5 Goals at +137 on bet365. He had a strong first game, scoring two goals and registering eight shots on goal. He’s also had 15 multi-goal performances in 23 games this season, including a hat trick in his last meeting with Halifax. If Kirst draws added attention, Hiltz could be a beneficiary as a goal scorer and we’re getting better odds than in Game 1.

As for the Thunderbirds, I’m betting a half unit on Jason Knox Over 1.5 Goals at +175 on bet365. Since I expect Toronto to win a lower-scoring game, I don’t want to wager a full unit. Yet, Knox has been the most reliable offensive weapon for Halifax this entire postseason and these odds are way too long. Knox has had three or more goals in every playoff game and has gone over this mark in 10 of his last 16 games. Trust Knox to score at least a pair of goals in Game 2.

Picks: CJ Kirst Over 1.5 Goals, CJ Kirst Over 2.5 Goals (0.3 unit), CJ Kirst Over 3.5 Goals (0.1 unit), Owen Hiltz Over 1.5 Goals, Jason Knox Over 1.5 Goals (0.5 unit)

2025-26 NLL Season Best Bets: 81-64 for +22.535 units (ROI +15.72%)
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
