We missed our lone Friday bet of Week 8 in the National Lacrosse League, but fortunately, there are plenty of Saturday games to bet on. I’m targeting four games in particular, so let’s take a look at my best bets for the Saturday of NLL Week 8.

Saskatchewan Rush at Toronto Rock

The Rock enter Week 8 with an 0-5 record, yet they’ve lost their last three games by an average of 1.3 goals and each of them was a one possession game in the final minute. They face a Saskatchewan team that is 4-1 and has been exceeding expectations all year.
Toronto’s ability to hang with Buffalo desoite missing some key starters was an encouraging sign, yet I felt their +100 odds were too short heading into the weekend. However, this morning we got word that both Tom Schreiber and TD Ierlan would be suiting up for tonight’s game and with that news, I think Toronto is live for an upset.
Saskatchewan is a really solid team, but their competition hasn’t been the toughest so far and a now 85% healthy Toronto team may be the best team they’ve faced so far this season. Ierlan should be able to neutralize the possession advantage that Jake Naso has earned Saskatchewan in most of their games and Toronto’s offense should give the Rush a similar amount of trouble as Philly’s did a few weeks ago.
DubClub subscribers were notified to bet the Rock at +100 on FanDuel before the line moved, but you can still bet Toronto moneyline at -105 on BetMGM or DraftKings. Back the Rock to get their first win of the season.
Pick: Toronto Rock ML
Philadelphia Wings at Buffalo Bandits

The 4-1 Philadelphia Wings travel to Buffalo to take on the undefeated Bandits. While these teams boast similar records, they are in different tiers, in my opinion. The Bandits have played the slightly tougher schedule so far and have blown out teams, while Philadelphia has narrowly won some games against comparable opponents. Even as a 2.5-point favorite, I think Buffalo can cover.
The Buffalo defense has been one of the best through eight weeks and, despite a below-average performance against Toronto last week, should give the Wings some trouble. The Bandits offense should also have a lot of success against a Philly defense that is slightly better than last season, but still gets exposed in transition. Buffalo should also have a possession advantage thanks to Connor Farrell, which will make slowing down this Bandits offense even tougher.
I think Buffalo gets out to an early multi-goal lead and is able to maintain it en route to their fifth straight win of the season. Bet Bandits -2.5 at +104 on FanDuel.
Pick: Buffalo Bandits -2.5
Georgia Swarm at calgary roughnecks

The Georgia Swarm head to Calgary to face the Roughnecks with both teams looking to snap two-game losing streaks. The Swarm have underperformed as favorites, but I expect them to right the ship against a below-average Roughnecks defense.
Georgia’s offense has been too reliant on transition offense and Lyle Thompson making improbable plays, but I expect them to get back to the elite ball movement that got them to a 4-0 start. This Calgary defense is not the same as it was in years past now that Cam McLeod is in net and I expect Georgia to take advantage of the mismatch.
Georgia’s defense has also underperformed lately and while Calgary should have a moderate level of success, the potential absence of Dane Dobbie would make it easier for the Swarm to limit Curtis Dickson and Jesse King.
Ultimately, I expect the Swarm to win by a multi-goal margin on Saturday and recommend betting Georgia -1.5 at +130 on bet365.
Pick: Georgia Swarm -1.5
san Diego Seals at Las Vegas Desert Dogs

The San Diego Seals travel to Sin City to take on the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. The Seals are 3-3, but they’ve had a tough schedule so far. They haven’t played a team with a losing record yet and Las Vegas is currently the worst team in the league by my rankings.
The Seals lost to a solid Vancouver team last week and should have beat Ottawa by even more than they did two weeks ago. Their defense has looked really strong lately and while the offense has gone into a bit of a slump, they have a great matchup against one of the worst defenses in the league.
I don’t expect Las Vegas to be able to hang with San Diego for four quarters and see the Seals pulling away for a big victory. Bet Seals -2.5 at -105 on DraftKings.
Pick: San Diego Seals -2.5
