The weekend starts with a matchup with major implications on the Eastern Conference playoff race. In my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, I discuss why I think Boston will pull off the win. The last game between these teams didn’t feature Andrew McMeekin, Jack Regnery, JC Higginbotham or Will Donovan. All four have been key contributors recently and could even the scales between these teams. The games was also closer than the score indicated, with the Cannons allowing three very flukey goals in the first matchup. I gave out Boston Cannons Moneyline at +110, but I still like it at +100 on BetMGM and BetRivers.
In addition to picking the Boston Cannons to win, I also like their odds to win the title. They’ve beaten everyt team but the Whipsnakes and Chaos, with a chance to beat the former and it being unlikely they’d play the latter. Their odds will drstically fall if they go 2-0 this weekend and shouldn’t get much longer if they don’t, so I recommend betting the Boston Cannons to win the 2026 PLL Championship at +800 on BetRivers or DraftKings.
As for player props, I’m betting Marcus Holman and Coulter Mackesy’ sgoals and points props. Each only had 2 points, but Mackesy took eight shots and managed to score a pair of goals. Holman only took three shots, but I expect his shot volume to go up with McMeekin’s ability to generate fast break chances and Regnery’s presence on the field. Mackesy has had two goals or more and three points or more in six of 10 games this year, while Holman has had three points in seven and multiple goals in eight games. At their current odds, I recommend betting Coulter Mackesy 2+ Goals (+106) and 3+ Points (-102) and Marcus Holman 2+ Goals (-125) and 3+ Points (+128) on FanDuel.
I also think Jack Regnery will get on the board early and like his odds to score in the opening frame. Bet a 0.3 unit on Jack Regnery 1st Quarter Goal at +230 on FanDuel.
Picks: Boston Cannons ML, Coulter Mackesy 2+ Goals & 3+ Points, Marcus Holman 2+ Goals & 3+ Points, Jack Regnery 1Q Goal (0.3 unit)

Archrivals in Utah and Carolina meet for their final game of the regular season. I think this game will be closer than the last meeting between these teams, but am not willing to take a side. I could see a desparate Chaos team winning outright, but could also see Utah exploiting their depleted roster and ending their playoff hopes as well. Instead, I’m targeting some player props in this game.
As I discussed in my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview and on Twitter, I’m betting a Brett Dobson saves escalator again this weekend. Whether they’re winning or losing, Carolina should take plenty of shots on Friday since they need to not only win, but win by as many goals as possible to help their poor score differential. So, whether Utah is leading or trailing, the shot volume should be there for Dobson to go over his saves prop. Bet 1.15 unit on Brett Dobson Over 11.5 Saves (-115) on BetMGM, a full unit on 13+ Saves (+108), a half unit on 14+ Saves (+142), 0.3 unit on 15+ Saves (+188) and 0.1 unit on Dobson 16+ Saves (+305) on FanDuel.
As for other props, I’m also expecting Mac O’Keefe to have a strong game. O’Keefe has been hot and cold, but he had a career-high seven goals against Carolina when they last played. While I don’t think he’ll drop seven again, I do think he’s the perfect weapon to exploit this Carolina defense. The Chaos struggled to guard O’Keefe off-ball last time and they’ll be without Jack Rowlett and Henry Bard this time around. With just four true poles and some new faces on defense, I could see the Chaos struggling to defend O’Keefe again. Bet a half unit on Mac O’Keefe 1st Quarter Goal at +190 on FanDuel and a full unit on Mac O’Keefe Over 1.5 Goals at -115 on DraftKings.
I also expect rookie Ryan Stines to get back on the stat sheet. he’s had three points in seven of 11 games this season and I expect him to be utlizied heavily on Friday. Bet Ryan Stines Over 2.5 Points at +106 on FanDuel.
As for Carolina, Owen Hiltz has struggled this season, particularly against Utah. He was held to just one point in his last two meetings with the Archers and stayed under two points in seven of nine games this year. Bet Owen Hiltz Under 2.5 Points at -140 on DraftKings.
Picks: Brett Dobson 12+ Saves (1.15 unit), 13+ Saves, 14+ Saves (0.5 unit), 15+ Saves (0.3 unit) & 16+ Saves (0.1 unit), Mac O’Keefe 1Q Goal (0.5 unit), Mac O’Keefe Over 1.5 Goals, Ryan Stines Over 2.5 Points, Owen Hiltz Under 2.5 Points
2026 PLL Season Best Bets: 114-132 for +10.376 units (ROI +5.16%)
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
