Odds via Caesars
In my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, I gave out Philadelphia Waterdogs -1.5 at -130 on bet365 before it moved. You can still get Waterdogs -1.5 at -150 on Caesars, but I wouldn’t bet it at any odds shorter than that and would find other ways to back Philly instead. While I think the Waterdogs will win, this spread has gotten way too wide in my opinion. New York only lost by a goal in the final two minutes when they last played Philadelphia, and I expect them to put up a fight. As Dan Alexander pointed out on social media, underdogs of 2.5 points are 8-2 against the spread since 2024 and 22-10 against the spread lifetime.
I also gave out Over 1.5 Two-Point Goals at +150 on BetMGM or FanDuel in my preview, and a lot of that has to do with Bryan Costabile needing just one more two-point goal to break the single-season record. Costabile has had a two-pointer in seven of 10 games, and Atlas as a team have shown a propensity for scoring beyond the arc lately. Brett Makar and Alex Ross are two long poles who could get off some two-point shots and help push this total over. On Philly’s side, Matt Collison has scored a two-pointer in four of six games, including against New York a few weeks ago. Overall, I like the odds that we see at least a pair of two-point goals scored in this game.
As for player props, I’m expecting a big day out of Michael Sowers. A lot of attention will be on CJ Kirst as he attempts to break the single-season goals record, but I expect Sowers to be heavily involved both as a feeder and goal-scorer. Even though they’re juiced, I like the odds to bet to win a full unit on Michael Sowers Over 3.5 Points at -145 on BetMGM and Michael Sowers 2+ Goals at -166 on FanDuel. I also recommend betting a half unit on Michael Sowers 3+ Goals at +154 on FanDuel, given that Sowers has recorded a hat trick in six of 10 games this season, including against New York.
Finally, I’m betting 0.3 unit on Matt Collison 1st Quarter Goal at +250 on FanDuel. Collison has scored a goal in five of six games this season and could see his role increase with Jack Hannah out due to injury.

In my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, I gave out Over 24.5 at -105 on BetMGM. Even though both defenses have been playing well as of late, there is a ton of firepower on these offenses. Both have deep midfields and should be able to win in their matchups against each other’s short-stick defenders. I also think we’ll see both teams push in transition this game, which could ramp up the pace and likely the scoring. As a result, I also recommend betting Maryland Whipsnakes 13+ Points at +105 on FanDuel.
One of those midfielders I expect to have a big game is Aidan Carroll. Carroll has multiple goals in seven of 11 games and, along with Adam Poitras, has been the Whipsnakes’ best dodger as of late. Bet Aidan Carroll Over 1.5 Goals at -122 and Aidan Carroll Over 2.5 Points at +114 on FanDuel.
Speaking of Poitras, I like his odds to score in the opening period. Poitras has scored in all but one game this season and is shooting at 52.4% this year. He’s had 8 goals through Maryland’s last two games and has been a key contributor on this offense. Bet 0.3 unit on Adam Poitras 1st Quarter Goal at +220 on FanDuel.

In my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, I gave out Over 23.5, which you can get at -110 on BetMGM. Denver’s offense hasn’t slowed down despite all their key offensive injuries. However, their defense will be without all three starting close defenders, so this could be a great get-right spot for California’s offense. Even with the Redwoods’ defense at full strength, I trust both teams to do their part to push this total over. I also expect California’s offense to put on a strong performance and recommend betting California Redwoods 12+ Points (-130) and a half unit on California Redwoods 13+ Points (+135) on FanDuel.
The key defensive injuries to the Outlaws defense are also why I expect Redwoods attackmen Chris Kavanagh and Dylan Molloy to be productive. Bet Dylan Molloy Over 1.5 Goals at -128 and Over 2.5 Points at +118 and Chris Kavanagh Over 3.5 Points at +118 on FanDuel.
