The top teams from each conference based on winning percentage meet on Friday evening. California is still depleted on the defensive end, with Kyle Hartzell getting the nod at close defense in just his second game back since unretiring. I think this game will still be close even with all of the Redwoods’ defensive injuries, but would rather bet the total in this game. Even at as high as 25.5 at most sportsbooks, I expect this game to reach that mark.
The Waterdogs offense is too talented and should find enough success against their former netminder Dillon Ward to do their part. As for California, their offense has also been effective and is facing a Waterdogs defense that still has question marks. Matt DeLuca has been streaky, top defender Gavin Adler is playing with a torn quad and their short-stick defensive middie room is depleted. Bet this game to go Over 24.5 at -115 on TheScore Bet or Over 25 at -115 on Caesars.
As for props, I’m expecting the duo of Michael Sowers and CJ Kirst to have another strong game. I’m curious to see if the Redwoods force Sowers to be more of a shooter or passer, but expect him to rack up points either way. Bet Michael Sowers Over 3.5 Points at +102 on FanDuel.
In my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, I revisited CJ Kirst’s case for MVP so far this season and, even at +300, I’m not sure his odds to win are short enough heading into an advantageous matchup with the Redwoods defense. I gave out Kirst to win MVP at +750 following PLL Week 4 and still suggest betting him now, but if you prefer to bank on a big weekend by him instead, I have some props to bet. Bet to win a unit on CJ Kirst Over 2.5 Goals at -105 on BetMGM, a half unit on CJ Kirst Over 3.5 Goals at +172 on FanDuel and to win a full unit on CJ Kirst Over 3.5 Points at -113 on FanDuel.
Picks: Over 24.5, Michael Sowers Over 3.5 Points, CJ Kirst Over 2.5 Goals, CJ Kirst Over 3.5 Goals (0.5 unit), CJ Kirst Over 3.5 Points

I detailed why I expect a lower scoring matchup between Utah and New York in my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, but their are two player props I do like.
The total feels right at 21.5, so I’m betting a player to stay under their points prop instead. Bryan Costabile has been great for the Atlas this season, but his numbers are a bit inflated given that he’s scored a two-pointers in all but on game. Costabile’s range needs to be respected, but he’s not taking as many tow-point shots as his two-point goal total may suggest and I trust Utah’s defense to prevent many chances on Friday night. He’s had four points or more in just five of his last 17 games, so I think we’ll see him stay under again when facing one of the league’s best defenses. Don’t fear the juice and bet Bryan Costabile Under 3.5 Points at -175 on DraftKings.
As for Archers, I expect Mac O’Keefe to find success against this Atlas defense. New York defenders have been solid on-ball, but a player like O’Keefe should be able to find the holes in the defense and get plenty of shots on net. I love the odds to bet Mac O’Keefe Over 1.5 Points at -105 on BetMGM and there’s a chance he hits this with just one shot given his range.
Picks: Bryan Costabile Under 3.5 Points, Mac O’Keefe Over 1.5 Points
Boston Cannons vs. Denver Outlaws

In my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview, I pointed out how as good as Boston’s offense has been, they’ve faced some weaker defenses thus far. Even when their offense is firing, their defense has held them back and is currently allowing the most scores per game. Not a great recipe for facing the top defense in the PLL in Denver this weekend, so I recommend betting Denver Outlaws -1.5 at -105 on BetMGM or FanDuel.
I’m also betting the usual suspects on the Outlaws offense. We’ll start with the team’s leading goal scorer Logan Wisnauskas, who has had multiple goals in every game this season. If you need a larger sample size, Wisnauskas has also had two or more goals in nine of his last 17 games. We’re getting good odds to bet another multi-goal game from him this weekend. Bet Logan Wisnauskas Over 1.5 Goals at +102 on FanDuel.
I’m also betting Brennan O’Neill Over 1.5 Goals at -115 on BetMGM. O’Neill will likely draw the Owen Grant matchup, but Denver has been creative with getting him matched up with short-sticks and I expect him to get enough looks to score a couple of goals. He’s had at least two goals in 11 of his last 17 games, so I like his current odds to do so again.
Finally, I’m betting Jared Bernhardt’s points prop for the second-straight week. He’s had three or more points in all four games this season and nine of 15 career games. Expect him to factor heavily into the gameplan against this Cannons defense. Bet Jared Bernhardt Over 2.5 Points at +114 on FanDuel.
Finally, I’m fading Marcus Holman for the second-straight week. This Boston offense could struggle against this Denver defense and I expect the Outlaws to limit Holman’s scoring chances. He’s has had four points or more in just two of his last 16 games, so I still like the odds to bet Marcus Holman Under 3.5 Points at -180 on DraftKings.
Picks: Denver Outlaws -1.5, Logan Wisnauskas Over 1.5 Goals, Brennan O’Neill Over 1.5 Goals, Jared Bernhardt Over 2.5 Points, Marcus Holman Under 3.5 Points
Maryland Whipsnakes vs. Carolina Chaos

Carolina Moneyline/Spread | +102 / +1.5 |
| Total | 22.5 |

For the final game, I’m banking on strong perfomances from both offenses and betting Over 22.5 at +100 on FanDuel. I mentioned Jack Rowlett’s injury and a few other reasons we should expect both offenses to bounce back in my USA Lacrosse Magazine preview.
In addition to the total, I also expect Rob Pannell to have success, particularly as a passer. Pannell has struggled against the top defenses, but has found success as a feeder against the weaker defenses and while Carolina is solid defensively, the injuries could present RP3 with the opportunity to put up points. Bet Rob Pannell 3+ Points at +120, Rob Pannell 2+ Assists at -110 and 0.3 unit on Rob Pannell 3+ Assists at +300 on FanDuel.
Picks: Over 22.5
2026 PLL Season Best Bets: 47-62 for +3.181 units (ROI +
All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
