2025 Premier Lacrosse League Championship Series Final Picks and Predictions

The 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Championship Series ends with a final featuring the Utah Archers and Boston Cannons. Our top two golden stick bets in Asher Nolting (17 scoring points) and Mac O’Keefe (16 scoring points) are in a good position to win the award with Nolting needing just four points to surpass current leader Bryan Costabile and O’Keefe needing five. Boston’s Matt Campbell or Ryan Drenner could play spoiler with 16 scoring points of their own, but I like our chances with Nolting and O’Keefe.

Boston is between a 1.5 and 2.5-point underdog coming off their thrilling overtime victory over Atlas on Sunday. The total sits between 44.5 and 45.5 depending on the sportsbook. Let’s take a look at my best bet for the game.

Boston Cannons vs. Utah Archers

The Boston Cannons were my pre-series pick and while they certainly still have a chance at an upset, the odds are stacked against them. Marcus Holman will likely miss the final due to injury and this Boston roster as a whole is banged up. Meanwhile, Utah has enjoyed an extra day of rest and gets to face a team they beat 29-21 just a few days earlier when both teams were at full strength.

In the first meeting, Utah’s defense-first players also did a great job of not only winning their defensive matchups against Boston, but also contributed with goals in transition as well. They’re production from ost of their roster and utilizing the two-point goal to their advantage, leading the league with 13 despite playing one less game than Boston and New York.

Ultimately, I think the rest advantage, roster health and style of play will be too much for Boston to overcome and expect Archers to win the 2025 PLL Championship Series. Utah has also won every game by three or more so there is a good chance they cover the spread in their win as well. Split a unit and bet half on Utah moneyline at -120 and a half on Utah -1.5 at +100 on DraftKings.

Now, if you tailed my Boston Cannons pre-series future at +270 (and didn’t already hedge with Archers +210 a couple of days ago like I did) then you’re still in a great position to a) hedge now with a moneyline bet on Utah or b) let it ride if you like Boston to still win. There’s not much to gain in betting Boston if you already have a Cannons future and, like I laid out above, I think they end up losing outright anyway.
