Last year, Denver pulled off an incredible comeback over Utah that has been known as the “Brennan O’Neill Game,” yet the second meeting featured Graeme Hossack back in the lineup and O’Neill was held pointless. I think the 2025 versions of these teams are fairly even and don’t have a strong read on the spread. I’m waiting for both offenses to finally have a big game, but am not ready to back them quite yet even though I lean Over 21.5.

Instead, I’m betting a handful of props in this game, starting with Under 1.5 Two-Point Goals at -125 on DraftKings. Logan McNaney defended Philly’s long-range shots well last week and while Brett Dobson has given up a pair of two-pointers this season, I trust him to stop Denver’s shots from deep.

I’m also betting Jared Bernhardt Over 1.5 Points at +115 on bet365 again this week. The Outlaws midfielder only has one point through two games, but has generated seven shots on goal, and he should be relied on heavily to break this Utah defense. This is a good buy-low spot on Bernhardt.

As for the Archers, I’m going back to the well and betting Connor Fields 3+ Goals at +175 on DraftKings. Any time Fields’ goals prop is 2.5 and at plus money, I have to consider it. He’s recorded a hat trick in 15 of his last 25 games (excluding the 2023 playoff game where he left with an injury) and I like the matchup this weekend. Fields went over this line in both games against Denver last year, recording four goals in one game and three in the other. It’s a good time to bet him to do so again.

I also expect Mac O’Keefe to have some early success. The Utah sharpshooter has just one goal in three games this season but has been getting quality shots in net. Of O’Keefe’s 14 shots this year, 11 have been on goal and I expect his shots to go on Sunday. I like his odds to score in the opening period and recommend betting a half unit on Mac O’Keefe 1st Quarter Goal Scorer at +200 on FanDuel.

Finally, I’m betting Brett Dobson Over 13.5 Saves at -102 on FanDuel. Dobson has gone over this in 17 of 28 games (60.7%) and had 18 when these teams last faced. Despite being banged up, Dobson has still looked strong and I expect the shot volume to be high enough for him to make at least 14 stops on Sunday.

Picks: Under 1.5 Two-Point Goals, Connor Fields 3+ Goals, Jared Bernhardt Over 1.5 Points, Brett Dobson Over 13.5 Saves, Mac O’Keefe 1Q Goal Scorer (0.5 unit)

Carolina Chaos at Maryland Whipsnakes

Carolina Moneyline/Spread-105 / +1.5
Maryland Moneyline/Spread-125 / -1.5

Odds via DraftKings

Maryland hosts the Carolina Chaos in the Whipsnakes’ second game in less than 24 hours. Fatigue and the heat could be a factor, but I think that’s baked into this current price. I think Carolina will likely outlast Maryland, but there are other ways I’m choosing to bet this game.

We’ll start with what I expect to be a lower-scoring first half. Both Whipsakes and Chaos have scored six or more goals in the first half just once each in seven combined games and Maryland in particular has started the slow in the majority of their games. Meanwhile, Carolina has a handful of players making their season debut on Sunday and it could take a quarter or two for them to get their bearings. Bet 1st Half Under 11.5 at -120 on DraftKings.

I’m also betting a few player props from both teams.

TJ Malone’s MVP campaign got an even bigger boost on Saturday thanks to a seven-point performance. It’s hard to bet against the Maryland attackman, considering how impactful he is on this Whipsnakes offense, but this is a good sell-high spot in my opinion. His points prop is 4.5 and that’s a bit high considering his matchup with this Chaos defense. Malone has stayed under this mark in 10 of 17 career games and Carolina held him to a career-low one point last season. Expect Chaos to keep him in check and bet TJ Malone Under 4.5 Points at -130 on DraftKings.

I also think Carolina’s 2025 first-round pick Owen Hiltz will have success in his debut. They’ll be looking to get him involved as a goal scorer and I like the odds for him to have multiple goals in his debut. Bet Owen Hiltz Over 1.5 Goals at +150 on FanDuel.

Finally, I’m betting Jackson Eicher Over 2.5 Points at +110 on DraftKings. The rookie has been relatively quiet the past two games, but has generated 8 assist opportunities and is still a big part of this Carolina offense. Hiltz being in the lineup should take some pressure of the former Army attackman and I like his odds to have three or more points against a Maryland defense that will be playing their second game in less than a day.

Picks: 1st Half Under 11.5, TJ Malone Under 4.5 Points, Owen Hiltz Over 1.5 Goals, Jackson Eicher Over 2.5 Points

All bets are to win 1 unit or more (i.e. 1.2 units at -120, 1 unit at +120) unless otherwise specified.
